PATTI A. GILLILAND REARICK
Patti A. Gilliland Rearick, 79, died on Friday,
February 1, 2008 peacefully at home in
Largo, Florida after a brief illness.
She was born in Springfield, Ohio on
October 1, 1928, the daughter of the late
Charles and Effie Perchment.
In 1981, Patti retired from Wright Patterson
Air Force Base after 19 years of service. She
was a member of St. John's Lutheran
Church. Patti enjoyed spending time with
family and friends, volunteering, Chinese
food and traveling. She never knew a
stranger and made friends wherever she
went. Patti could be counted on to play
cards at a moments notice. She and her late
husband, Ned R. Gilliland re-located to
Largo, Florida in 1982, where they spent
their retirement years prior to his death in
1993. In 2001, Patti was joined with Paul
Rearick of Durand, Michigan.
Survivors include one daughter and
son-in-law, Karen and Jim Kaffenbarger of
Springfield; two sons and daughters-in-law,
Edwin M. and Elanor Gilliland of
Indianapolis, Indiana and Keith R. and
Denise Gilliland of Valparaiso, Indiana; a
special niece and nephew and their spouses,
Connie (David) Heckler and Edward (Cathy)
O'Brien; two step children, Doug (Carol)
Rearick and Sharon Rearick; four
grandchildren, James Kaffenbarger, Ashley
Vukovits and Bo and Libbie Gilliland; four
step grandchildren, Sheryl Dale, Jimmy
Brandyline, Katie Rearick and the late Sherry
Brewer; great nephews, Jason Heckler, Paul,
Erik and Keefe O'Brien, five great
grandchildren, Stephen, Austin, and Morgan
Vukovits, Jack and Lucy Kaffenbarger.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday,
February 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the
LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME with
Pastor John Pollock officiating. A private
burial will be held in the Glen Haven
Memorial Gardens.
